Efficient stuff and the place was exceptionally clean. Air conditioned room, extremely comfy beds, delightful breakfast. Plenty of food available in the restaurant. Pleasant location to Tiverton Canal Co. Positioned in the nice enough area, so close to Knightshaves, the garden and the conservatory surrounded by the last of Christmas. Really had very nice stay on holidays.

The carefully renovated house had a large room with a modern bathroom, quietly situated by the stream in the garden. First class dinner and rich breakfast were served on the glazed terrace. Perfect location to Knightshayes!
Currently construction work for a wellness area; partly visually disturbing, but no noise pollution in the morning and late afternoon. During the day?

The peaceful surroundings which meant a very relaxing stay and the staff were very friendly and there was no problem changing to a room with a bath as requested. The bathroom was very modern and we liked the glass panels and the shower.
The room was a little bit on the small side and lacked hooks/shelves to put things on.

Nice clean room, friendly staff
Think the hotel is expensive enough without charging guests extra to check in early. Think that service should be free if the room is availBle earlier.

Lovely hotel, cozy room, with convenient amenities like free parking and helpful staff who made us feel welcome with a complimentary drink upon arrival.
There was nothing I didn't like.

Rooms are very clean and spacious enough, staff are attentive without being intrusive and the food truly superb. Samll point but for those of us alon on business the choice of TV channels was limited Location on the outskirts of Tiverton and within a few miles of the M5 made a good base for business in trips down to Exeter. Will not hesitiate to stay there again
As above the TV channels selection is very limited to around 10 or so channels including some lesser used ones: this seems like a small point and in essence it is but when away on business the TV is sometimes theo nly evening passtime available when you are not in the mood for reading a good book.

Very well appointed; looks as if it has just been refurbished to a very high standard. I didn't eat in the restaurant, but the prices & menu look good.
I stayed in "the gatehouse", an annexe building, which is close to the road. There wasn't much traffic, but when a vehicle went past, it sounded like it was in the room with me. A bit more attention to the fit of the door would pay dividends. As it is, you can see daylight around the edge, hence the sound transmission. I hope to stay at the hotel again, but would ask for a room in the main building.

The hartnoll is in a great spot, with easy access to the M5 and Exmoor. Our double room was very comfortable and well equipped. The highlight was the head waiter, he. We enjoyed a good meal at the restaurant and the hot stone massage at the spa was relaxing.
100% recommend

The whole experience was lovely, the decor, the room which was fantastic modern and very clean. Loved the walk in shower. The staff were very helpful well mannered and pleasant. The food was delicious, we have never tasted such tasty sausages at breakfast time, qaulity food, hotel, decor and staff. I would totally reccomend this lovely country hotel, and would be happy to stay again. The best bit was lying in bed listening to the lovely stream outside the bedroom. For a standard room it was heaven to both myself and my husband!! A ++++++
